Walker Station is in a league of its own. We recently moved to the Dallas area from New Territory. Though we heard glowing reports about our new school, there is simply no comparison to Walker Station. I'm beginning to realize that this is because WSE is simply outstanding. The parent involvement makes a huge difference in the quality of education taking place. The PTA raises thousands each year that go to provide computer labs, science labs, instructional equipment, and resources to supplement an already-rich learning environment. We miss Walker Station very much. It's hard to believe it's a public school. it is a star in the crown of FBISD.

All 3 of my children have attended Walker Station from 2000 to 2008. I can verify all the great things that the other reviews have said about the school. If education is important to you then look no further. It is a school of superstar teachers, everyone one we ve had is the best and I have never heard a complaint about any teacher. Seriously! As well, I think the parent involvement and stable leadership also distinguish this school from the other already excellent Fort Bend ISD schools. It is also in a great neighborhood as well and there are plenty of opportunities for kids to be involved.

We moved here from Ohio recently. Education is VERY important to my husband and I. I have children at WSE in 5th, 3rd and Kindergarten. I have been blown away by all aspects of this school and can honestly say I think this is the best school on earth!! Way to go!!!

WSE is an excelent school with wonderful teachers that really care about their students. The parent involvement is incredible. There is a terrific volenteer program that enables all parents to voleneer as much or little as they have time for. The communication between the facalty is astounding. This open dialogue is also entended to the parents which provides a great learning environment for the children.

Walker Station is one of the finest schools in Fort Bend County. The teachers are superb, and they continue to be rated Exemplary by the state. Low teacher turnover indicates good leadership too. Parents have opportunities to be involved in just about anyway you can think of, and the PTO is very strong.

The prinicpal is a strong leader who tries to prepare the children for the onslaught of standardized tests being thrown at them by the State, yet she is concerned about developing the children's character through extracurricular activities. Parental involvement is over-the-top, fantastic. Parents hold children, teachers and administration accountable for progress, not just for their own children, but for others, too. There is a real 'We are Walker Station' sense of pride at the school. The teachers are very accessible to parents. PTO is supportive and tries to find ways to help support instruction, with structured art programs, for example. PTO is working on adding a science lab in the near future. The academic system is a little tough on children who don't fit the mold set by the standardized tests. We don't blame the school, but we do blame the State, for mandating such rigorous, high-stakes testing. Walker Station has resources to help these children, but the pressure is definitely on the 'slower' children. Discipline is very strict at Walker Station. Safety is extremely important and enforced by the Assistant Principal. Overall quality is very high at Walker Station.
