My daughter completed an advanced class in the 3rd grade here and has grown tremendously this year. Mr. Scott has pushed his students to get the most out of them and I applaud him. I have had children in the gifted program at Del Prado but feel my youngest is getting more out of enriched programming here than the others got through gifted coursework. The PTA is a powerhouse and help the teachers tremendously. The principal does take the time to get to know all of the kids by name which makes them feel very special. Great school.

This school is fabulous, from the principle to kindergarten through fifth grade the teachers are amazing.

Wonderful school. My daughter has just started 3rd grade in an advanced class. The teacher involvement and concern is in par with a private school. Science and math programs are great. Pricipal is a great leader and runs that school like a top. Happy students,happy staff, great school

Great school! specially the science program, the children are always challenged and feel very happy there. The principal is a great person always supportive and knows every student by name.The art program is not the best but not bad either. Miss Finger the best ESOL teacher ever. Very proud about about our FCAT scores. Way to go Sandpiper!

There are some excellent teachers at the school. The Guidance Couselor is very helpful. The principal seems distant and out of touch with student needs. The school administration is overly focused on FCAT scores and I do not feel they are actually focused on overall student education.

No parental involvement. The parent & teacher attitude was so bad we moved back to pa. Staff left kids in lightning storms under shed! they sent home tests to study to boost scores! they are horrible and will create idiots! teachers(most)just care about going home. Meanest teachers and parents (most)i ever met. Glad we left it was a horrible experience.

My nephews go to this school and as an educator I must say I m very happy with the academic contents of the courses, the personalized attention that the school gives to the students, the great teachers they have and the desire to make the school and the kids better.

The students seem to be underworked. Any child that has attended a quality preschool will be bored with the very simple work. The school work seems to be geared to children that have never attended any form of school.

There is a lack of professionalism and understanding regarding the school staff starting from the principal. There are few exceptions (Mr. Paradis and others) but generally speaking teachers are not prepared or do not have the support needed to perform minimum tasks. I had to move out so my child could attend Waters Edge Elementary.
