How do you get a lot of attention for your home when you're looking to sell? If you are Twitter co-founder Evan Williams (@Ev) and have more than 1.181 million "followers" -- which sure beats my 44 (I can be found @NJCentral) -- you Tweet about it. Williams did just that last week, which got the attention of the "digital masses," says CNNMoney.com.
This is his tweet: "Now that news is out, guess I'll tweet about it. Buy my loft: http://bit.ly/KyPuF It's a steal! Also, it looked better when @sara decorated."
Williams is looking to sell his 1,792-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath, San Francisco penthouse for just under $1.5 million, or $2,000 less than what he and his wife, Sara Morishige, paid for it two and a half years ago, CNNMoney says. Urban Bay Properties has the listing.
Homes in Williams' neighborhood have an estimated home value of $622,413, according to Cyberhomes.
Located at 601 4th Street in the historic Heublein Building, the loft is a home very befitting for the social media guru. Like a "tweet" (which are limited to a mere 140 characters), the home has clean lines with no extraneous details. It's very open and sports an awesome outdoor patio with views of the city. Also included with the home are two side-by-side parking spots, remote-controlled blinds and a couch. (The couch doesn't match the décor of the Victorian-style home the couple has purchased in the Noe Valley, CNNMoney notes.)
