Are you new to Cyberhomes and need a little guidance on how to use our site? Then check out the Cyberhomes video tours that our social media editor, Reggie Nicolay, has put together.
There are three parts to the video tour, and they provide step-by-step instructions and visuals to guide you in the use of our real estate data, home value tools and the editorial offerings of this blog and our Good Reading section.
In Part 1, Cyberhomes General Manager Marty Frame explains the maps on Cyberhomes and how you can use them to draw out information to research home values, your neighborhood, or a neighborhood to which you are looking to relocate.
In Part 2, Frame describes the Cyberhomes refine value tool, which allows you to add in updated information on your home -- such as an addition or remodel -- to get a more accurate picture of your home's value. If you are considering a major addition -- such as adding on a bedroom -- the refine value tool can provide you with an estimate of how the remodel may impact your home's value. He also describes how to use the tool to grade your local housing market and the condition of your home to get an adjusted estimation of your home's value.
In Part 3, Frame points to you where you can find data-driven advice and news on the housing market -- from how to green your home to how you can take advantage of available home-related tax credits for the consumer -- in our Good Reading section and on this blog.
We hope you find the videos helpful, and if there is any specific information that you need on how to use the site, let us know.—Lauren Baier Kim
