Evaluating Property Details

When you search for a place, you’ll be able to view it in a way that’s most relevant to you. You’ll have access to:

Property details

From the facts such as number of bedrooms to historical information such as previous sales and assessments, the Property Details section gives you the basic available data. If a property is for sale, you may even see additional facts provided by the listing company.

Comparables

Comparables — properties that are like the place you’re viewing — are shown by location, along with some key average comparisons for your property. Learn more about comparables and how to choose them.

Refining estimates

If you’ve ever bought or sold a home, you know that sometimes not all of the facts about a home are publicly available. We give you a compilation of publicly available facts about a property — but if you know even more, you can add your own knowledge to the analysis. Whether you’ve recently renovated the kitchen or added a swimming pool, changes to a property can impact its value. You can modify the estimated valuation to show improvements that have been made, as well as evaluate other changes that may impact the value of a home. This estimated valuation is derived from recent sales of homes with similar characteristics, and a variety of other factors.

Using charts

You know a picture is worth a thousand words — especially when it comes to your place. That’s why it’s useful to see a visual representation of the property details. With our charts, you can click and drag your mouse to select a custom timeframe, scroll to watch it change over time, and turn different trends on and off to get a comparison. Listing agent

You may notice that some of the properties on Cyberhomes™ are for sale. When a home is for sale and we have a relationship with the company listing it, we’ll let you know. We’ll show you the listing agent and company associated with it, and you’ll also see other information on the listing, such as:

  • List price: The price the home is being offered at.
  • Listing photo: The photo provided by the listing agent or company.
  • A link to view the detailed listing information on the listing broker’s site, so you can get even more information and follow up if you’re interested in the home.
